The 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, currently being hosted in Morocco, has reached
a critical stage as the tournament field begins to narrow. Following the conclusion
of the final group stage matches for Groups C and D on Saturday, three nations have
officially been eliminated from the competition: Zambia, Puerto Rico, and New Zealand.

## A Difficult Campaign for Eliminated Sides

According to reports from the _Daily Post_, the three eliminated teams concluded
their tournament runs without securing a single point. Each squad faced significant
challenges throughout the group stage, ultimately losing all three of their respective
matches. This winless streak left them at the bottom of their groups, effectively
ending their participation in the tournament.

## Recent Match Results

The final day of play for Groups C and D saw several decisive outcomes that solidified
the standings. In Group D, France secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Zambia, further
cementing the latter’s exit. Meanwhile, in Group C, Ghana managed a 2-0 win against
Canada.

Other matches played on Saturday included:

 * **Brazil vs. Norway:** Brazil dominated the encounter with a 3-0 victory.
 * **Japan vs. Venezuela:** Japan secured a 2-0 win to maintain their momentum.

These results have provided clarity on which teams will advance to the knockout
stages and which will head home. While the _Daily Post_ noted the specific outcomes
for these matches, information regarding the full bracket progression or the specific
point tallies for the advancing teams was not provided in the source report.

## Looking Ahead

The tournament is set to continue its rapid pace, with additional teams expected
to be eliminated on Sunday as the remaining groups play their final matches. The
FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup serves as a significant platform for emerging talent
in international women’s football, and the conclusion of the group stage marks the
transition toward the high-stakes knockout rounds.

As the competition progresses in Morocco, fans and analysts alike will be watching
to see which nations can maintain their form under the pressure of single-elimination
football. The _Daily Post_ indicates that the tournament schedule remains active,
with the final group stage fixtures determining the complete lineup for the next
phase of the competition.
