A Kenyan woman has shared how her house help took care of her when her marriage 
failed and the discovery she made later. 

Kiumbe Kipya explained that the house help helped her move out to a new place and
nursed her back to life as she suffered a heartbreak. 

Later, she discovered her house help has married her ex-husband. 

She wrote: “When my house help saw how heartbreak was taking a toll on me, she advised
that we look for a smaller house and go live there so I could heal and get back 
to my old self. 

“She had seen how arrogant and violent my husband had become and she said she feared
for our lives and hers too. 

“With my permission she looked for a house and after I went and saw it, I paid and
Rosa did the rest. She looked for means and ensured everything was moved safely 
to our new house on a day when my abusive husband was on a business trip. All I 
had to do was pay after everything had been done. 

“Of all the house-helps I’ve ever had, Rosa was the most supportive during the period
she lived with us. In fact in my whole life I have never met someone who accorded
me that kind of support! 

“Her support shone brightly on that day when we were moving out. Actually she’s 
the one who advised me to go and rest at my sister’s place so she could arrange 
everything.I really needed this coz honestly I didn’t have the strength to do anything.
That heartbreak was eating me! 

“I took a break off work for some weeks when signs of depression kicked in. Rosa
took care of me like a little child till I got back on my feet. Remember she was
taking care of my baby as well. 

“On most nights she would really build me with her words. Her voice so firm and 
strong speaking hope  into my fading life, blurred future. She would ivun pray for
me in the middle of the night when she woke up to go to the washroom and realized
I was awake acting depressed. 

“She left when I got another job in Mombasa and she said she couldn’t go with us
coz Mombasa was too far. I understood. I bid her good bye in the best way I could
do to someone who saved my life when I was at my worst. 

“I know life has turns and twists…life can never be understood or questioned but
tell me why/how Rosa is married to that ex husband of mine! 

“I confirmed, they live in Eldoret as husband and wife!”
