## A Shift in Leadership

In a move that signals a broader reorganization of his executive team, President
Trump has officially appointed Stephen Miller to serve as the White House chief
of staff. This announcement comes on the heels of the recent midterm elections and
follows direct comments from the President regarding his intentions to reshape his
inner circle.

## The Transition from Susie Wiles

The appointment of Miller marks the departure of Susie Wiles from the chief of staff
position. The transition was confirmed by the administration only hours after the
President sat down for an interview with 60 Minutes. During that conversation, Trump
explicitly informed the program that the public should anticipate a series of firings
and staff adjustments in the wake of the midterm results.

## Anticipating Further Changes

The President’s remarks to 60 Minutes served as a precursor to the staffing announcement,
framing the move as part of a larger effort to refresh his administration’s personnel.
While the appointment of Miller is the most prominent change confirmed thus far,
the President’s public comments suggest that this may be the beginning of a more
extensive shake-up within the White House staff. As the administration moves forward,
observers are looking for further indications of which other roles may be impacted
by the President’s stated desire for a team overhaul.
