Nigerian singer Skales has provided new insight into his complex relationship with
fellow music star Wizkid. In a recent interview reported by _Naija News_, Skales
addressed the long-standing disagreement that has persisted between the two artists,
confirming that he has made personal attempts to resolve their differences.

## A History of Professional Ties

Skales and Wizkid share a professional history that dates back to the early stages
of their respective careers under the same record label, Empire Mates Entertainment(
EME). During that period, both artists were instrumental in the label’s rise to
prominence within the Nigerian music industry. However, as both performers transitioned
into solo careers, reports of friction between them began to circulate in the media.

## Attempts at Reconciliation

According to the report from _Naija News_, Skales indicated that he has actively
sought to make peace with Wizkid. While the specific nature of these attempts and
the exact timeline of their falling out remain unclear, Skales’ recent comments
suggest a desire to move past the public tension that has characterized their dynamic
for years.

The singer did not provide specific details regarding Wizkid’s response to these
overtures, nor did he elaborate on the root causes of the initial disagreement.
The information regarding the current status of their communication remains limited
to Skales’ recent public statements.

## The Impact of Public Feuds in Afrobeats

The music industry in Nigeria has frequently seen high-profile feuds capture the
attention of fans and media outlets. These disagreements often stem from competitive
pressures, contractual transitions, or personal misunderstandings. For artists like
Skales and Wizkid, who rose to fame during a formative era for the Afrobeats genre,
their public interactions are often scrutinized by a dedicated fanbase.

While fans often speculate on the underlying reasons for such conflicts, industry
observers note that reconciliation is a common, though often private, process for
artists who share a common professional heritage. Skales’ decision to speak openly
about his efforts to mend the relationship marks a shift from the silence that has
surrounded the topic for much of the last decade.

## Looking Ahead

As of now, there has been no official statement from Wizkid regarding the comments
made by Skales. The music community continues to watch for any potential collaboration
or public acknowledgment that might signal a formal end to the long-standing tension.
For now, Skales’ admission serves as a reminder of the personal challenges that
can accompany professional growth in the fast-paced world of global music stardom.

_Note: This report is based on information provided by Naija News. Specific details
regarding the origins of the disagreement and the current state of the relationship
between the two artists have not been fully disclosed._
