head coach Jorge Jesus. This internal conflict reportedly led to disciplinary action,
including a fine and a 30-day suspension for the player.

### The Legacy of a Global Icon

While the circumstances surrounding his final weeks with the national team have
been subject to media scrutiny, Ronaldo’s broader contribution to Portuguese football
remains undisputed. As one of the most prolific scorers in the history of the sport,

without their long-time captain.
