Actress Selma Blair was arrested Sunday night following an incident aboard a cross-
country commercial flight traveling from Los Angeles to New York, according to a
report by CBS News.

## Reported Disturbance on Delta Flight

According to the report, the incident occurred aboard a Delta Air Lines service
operating from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to John F. Kennedy International
Airport (JFK). CBS News reported that Blair was taken into custody after allegedly
biting a flight attendant during the flight.

Specific details surrounding what precipitated the altercation, including the precise
timing during the multi-hour journey and any potential injuries sustained by crew
members or passengers, were not immediately made available in the initial report.
It remains unconfirmed whether alcohol, medical issues, or other factors contributed
to the disturbance.

## Law Enforcement and Airline Protocols

Commercial airlines adhere to strict federal safety standards regarding unruly passengers
and physical interference with flight crew members. Under standard aviation protocols,
cabin crew are trained to de-escalate disturbances and notify the flight deck if
a passenger becomes disruptive or aggressive.

When physical altercations occur at cruising altitude, pilots routinely alert air
traffic control and request that law enforcement meet the aircraft upon arrival
at the destination gate. Because commercial air travel falls under federal jurisdiction,
incidents involving physical assaults on crew members typically involve local airport
police and, in some cases, federal aviation or investigative authorities. Neither
Delta Air Lines nor local law enforcement had released an extensive public accounting
of the arrest at the time of reporting.

## Awaiting Official Statements

Blair, known for her roles in films such as _Cruel Intentions_ and _Legally Blonde_,
has not yet issued a public response, nor have representatives for the actress provided
comments regarding the allegations. Information regarding formal criminal charges,
potential bail, or scheduled court appearances has not yet been disclosed.

As authorities process the reported incident, further information is expected to
clarify the sequence of events that unfolded aboard the aircraft and the legal ramifications
that may follow.
