According to a report by _Channels Television_, the rescue operations took place between October 31 and November 2, 2026, targeting locations in the Millennium City and Maraban Rido communities. ## Details of the Rescue Operation The operation was characterized by a multi-agency approach, involving the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Police Force, and the military. The Kaduna State Government also provided support for the mission. During a press conference held at the DSS Command Headquarters in Kaduna, State Commissioner of Police Muhammad Rabiu confirmed the safe recovery of the victims. The rescued individuals were identified as Jamila Muhammad, Talatu Yakubu, Yunana Bawa, Calista Bishop, Chidinma Onuwere, Eucharia Obi, Godiya Victor, and an eight- year-old girl named Miracle Alex. This rescue follows a separate incident on October 15, 2026, where security agencies successfully freed Ahmad Zakka and his family members from captivity. ## Strategic Response to Rising Insecurity Commissioner Rabiu noted that the recent kidnappings in Millennium City and surrounding areas have caused significant public alarm. He stated that the coordinated operations are part of a broader strategy to disrupt and dismantle the criminal networks that have been responsible for recurring abductions in the region. The commissioner emphasized that the success of these missions demonstrates the commitment of security agencies to securing the release of victims and neutralizing criminal elements. To bolster future efforts, the police announced the deployment of additional resources. This includes 30 new patrol vans and eight armoured personnel carriers, which are intended to improve security coverage in areas identified as vulnerable. ## Challenges and Public Cooperation Addressing the tactical difficulties faced by security forces, Commissioner Rabiu identified the state’s challenging terrain as a primary factor that criminal groups exploit to evade detection. Despite these obstacles, he assured residents that security operations would be sustained to deny kidnappers and bandits freedom of movement. The authorities have called for increased public participation in the security process. Commissioner Rabiu urged residents to remain vigilant and to provide credible, timely intelligence regarding the activities and movements of suspected criminals. The police maintain that such community-level cooperation is essential for the success of intelligence-driven operations. ## Conclusion The rescue of the eight victims serves as a significant development in the ongoing efforts to stabilize security in Kaduna State. While the government and security agencies have committed to deploying more equipment and personnel, the situation remains a point of concern for local stakeholders. The success of these operations highlights the importance of inter-agency coordination in addressing the persistent threat of kidnapping in the region. < p class=”vbna-source-note”>**Source:** [Channels Television](https://www.channelstv.com/2026/11/03/security-operatives-rescue-eight-kidnap-victims-in-kaduna/) TL;DR (AI Generated) Security forces in Kaduna State successfully rescued eight kidnap victims during coordinated operations in the Chikun Local Government Area between October 31 and November 2, 2026.
