Troops from the Nigerian Army have successfully rescued two women who were abducted
during a violent raid in Kebbi State, according to reports emerging from the region.
The operation, which also resulted in the arrest of four suspected bandits, follows
an attack on the residence of Alhaji Aminu Mai Suga, the chairman of the African
Democratic Congress (ADC) in Sakaba Local Government Area.

## Details of the Abduction and Rescue

The incident began on Friday night when gunmen invaded the Dirin Daji community.
The attackers targeted the home of the ADC chairman, seizing two women during the
assault. Initial attempts by security personnel to intercept the kidnappers immediately
following the breach were reported as unsuccessful, leading to heightened concern
among local residents.

However, subsequent military intervention led to the recovery of the hostages. The
news of the rescue and the arrest of the four suspects was shared via social media
by a regional crisis reporter, Bakastine, who has been tracking security developments
in the North-West region.

## Impact on the Local Community

The raid was not without further violence. During the initial invasion, two other
women were shot by the attackers. According to local sources, one victim sustained
a gunshot wound to the stomach, while the second victim was shot in the buttock.
Both individuals were transported to the General Hospital for urgent medical care.

The situation in Sakaba has been characterized by persistent security challenges.
Residents in this part of Kebbi State have frequently faced threats from armed groups,
including kidnappings and targeted raids. This latest operation serves as a significant,
albeit isolated, success for security forces working to stabilize the area.

## Broader Security Context

While the rescue of the two women provides a measure of relief to the Dirin Daji
community, the incident underscores the ongoing security volatility in Nigeria’s
North-West. Armed groups continue to operate in rural areas, often targeting political
figures and local residents.

As of the time of reporting, authorities have not provided further details regarding
the identities of the four arrested suspects or their potential affiliations with
larger criminal networks. The recovery of the hostages and the capture of the alleged
perpetrators represent a tactical response to the escalating insecurity that has
plagued Sakaba and surrounding districts in recent months.

_Note: Information regarding the current medical status of the two injured women
and the specific identities of the detained suspects remains limited._
