Lobi Stars, the Makurdi-based football club, has officially unveiled a second group
of new signings as part of their preparations for the 2026/27 Nigeria National League(
NNL) season. This latest recruitment phase adds 13 players to the squad, following
an earlier announcement where the club confirmed the addition of six other individuals.

## A Strategic Squad Overhaul

The club held an unveiling ceremony on Monday to introduce the new arrivals to the
public. According to the club’s management, these signings are a core component
of their strategy to strengthen the team’s depth and competitive edge for the forthcoming
NNL campaign. The influx of new talent spans several positions, ranging from goalkeepers
to forwards, indicating a comprehensive effort to refresh the roster.

## Breakdown of New Arrivals

The 13 players brought into the fold represent a diverse mix of talent from various
clubs across the country. The new additions include:

The integration of players from both established professional sides and feeder teams
suggests the club is looking to balance experienced league talent with emerging
prospects.

## Looking Ahead to the Opener

With the recruitment phase now significantly advanced, the focus for the “Pride
of Benue” shifts toward match readiness. Lobi Stars are scheduled to kick off their
2026/27 NNL campaign with a fixture against Bichi First FC. The match is set to
take place on Sunday, November 8.

## Conclusion

As Lobi Stars prepare for their season opener, the addition of 19 players in total—
across two separate announcements—highlights a significant transition period for
the club. Whether this revamped squad can translate these personnel changes into
immediate success on the pitch remains to be seen when the league action begins
in November.
