As the conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran continues, an Iranian
military official has publicly claimed that the nation’s armed forces are currently
more capable and motivated than they were at the commencement of hostilities in
February. According to reports from Iranian state media, the military attributes
this perceived strength to the experience gained during months of direct confrontation.

## Claims of Military Evolution

Mohammad Akraminia, a spokesperson for the Iranian army, stated that the Islamic
Republic’s forces are operating at a higher state of alert. As cited by the state
news agency IRNA, Akraminia suggested that the ongoing war has provided the military
with tactical experience, resulting in increased self-confidence and commitment
among its ranks. This assessment comes as the conflict, which began with a series
of strikes in late February, remains in a state of deadlock.

## The Strait of Hormuz and Global Energy

A central component of the current tension involves the Strait of Hormuz, a critical
maritime chokepoint that typically facilitates the transport of approximately 20
percent of global oil consumption. Tehran has actively sought to restrict traffic
through this waterway as a strategic maneuver. Akraminia reiterated that Iranian
forces maintain control over the strait, asserting that the passage will remain
closed until the United States meets specific demands set by the Iranian leadership.

Regarding potential escalations, the spokesperson noted that the armed forces are
prepared to act under the direction of the Supreme Leader. He emphasized that any
future military response would be characterized as immediate and effective, without
being confined by geographical limitations.

## Recent Developments and Reported Strikes

The situation remains volatile, with reports of renewed military activity emerging
this week. U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed that new strikes have been conducted
against the Islamic Republic. These statements follow reports from American media
outlets regarding attacks on Qeshm Island, located within the Strait of Hormuz.

Local reports from the Tasnim news agency indicated that two missiles struck the
island on Saturday, though official details regarding the extent of the damage remain
unavailable. Simultaneously, Iranian state television reported two explosions in
the area. In a separate development, the Iranian army claimed that its air defense
systems successfully intercepted and destroyed a U.S. drone operating over the island.
It is important to note that Iranian officials have not provided specific confirmation
regarding whether the island itself was the target of a broader assault.

## Conclusion

The conflict continues to be defined by a stalemate and intermittent military engagements.
While Iranian officials project a narrative of increased strength and readiness,
the international community remains focused on the stability of the Strait of Hormuz
and the potential for further escalation as both sides maintain their stated positions.
