The Edo Queens are currently in Cairo, Egypt, preparing for a highly unusual conclusion
to their quest for a spot in the CAF Women’s Champions League. According to _Premium
Times Nigeria_, the team is set to play a 30-minute match to decide the outcome
of a WAFU-B qualifying final that was left unresolved two months ago.

## A Disputed Final

The original fixture, held in Burkina Faso, was intended to determine which team
would advance to Africa’s premier women’s club competition. However, the match ended
in significant controversy. Reports indicate that the game was halted due to a dispute
regarding the officiating, leaving the final result in limbo for several weeks.

## The Stakes of the Replay

The upcoming 30-minute encounter serves as the official conclusion to that contested
final. For the Edo Queens, the stakes remain unchanged: a victory or a successful
result in this abbreviated timeframe is the final hurdle standing between them and
a place in the continental tournament. Because the match is a continuation of the
previous event, both teams are tasked with settling the score on the pitch under
the oversight of CAF officials in Cairo.

## Contextual Challenges

While the specific details regarding the nature of the officiating dispute in Burkina
Faso have not been fully disclosed by the governing bodies, the decision to hold
a 30-minute replay highlights the complexities often faced in regional qualifying
tournaments. This unique format requires both teams to maintain intense focus, as
the margin for error is significantly reduced compared to a full 90-minute match.

### What Happens Next?

 * **Match Location:** Cairo, Egypt.
 * **Objective:** Secure the final qualifying ticket for the CAF Women’s Champions
   League.
 * **Format:** A 30-minute continuation of the disputed WAFU-B final.

As of the latest reports, the Edo Queens have arrived in Egypt to finalize their
preparations. The outcome of this brief but critical match will determine the final
representative from the WAFU-B zone for the upcoming continental championship.

## Conclusion

The situation facing the Edo Queens is a rare occurrence in professional football,
turning a long-standing dispute into a high-pressure sprint. As the team prepares
for this 30-minute battle, the focus remains entirely on the pitch, where they hope
to overcome the administrative challenges of the past few months and earn their
place among Africa’s elite women’s football clubs.
