The ceremony, held in Abakaliki, signals the commencement of the party’s organized efforts to secure electoral success in the state. ## Governor Nwifuru Highlights Administration Record During the inauguration, Governor Francis Nwifuru expressed optimism regarding the party’s prospects. He asserted that his administration has successfully fulfilled approximately 98 percent of the campaign promises made during the 2023 election cycle. According to the governor, these achievements are anchored in his administration’s“ People’s Charter of Needs” agenda. Governor Nwifuru detailed several key areas of progress, including: * **Education:** The upgrade of the College of Education to a University of Education, the construction of new faculty buildings, the establishment of an ICT University, and the procurement of laptops for students. * **Infrastructure:** The construction of 43 new primary schools and the full reactivation of the Ebonyi State International Airport. * **Agriculture:** The reactivation of the Hatchery farm and the procurement of tractors and mechanized farming implements. * **Governance and Welfare:** Improvements in the ease of doing business, the settlement of pension and gratuity arrears, and the implementation of regular promotions for civil servants. Additionally, the governor noted efforts to address electricity supply challenges in Afikpo and other local government areas, as well as initiatives focused on youth development, sports, and environmental sanitation. ## Council Structure and Party Strategy The newly inaugurated campaign council is designed to oversee specific operational areas through various directorates, including Finance, Security, Advisory, Media, Works and Infrastructure, and Youth and Women Mobilization. The body is tasked with coordinating mobilization efforts across all wards in the state. The council is led by Chief Frank Nchita Ogbuewu, a former Nigerian Ambassador to Greece. Deputy directors have been appointed to ensure representation across the state’s three senatorial districts. ## Calls for Unity and Political Equity APC State Chairman, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, addressed the council members during the event, emphasizing the need for dedication and unity in their duties. Emegha also commented on the political landscape, suggesting that the state’s existing rotational arrangement and principles of equity and fairness should guide the upcoming electoral process. While the governor and party leadership have laid out their platform based on these reported achievements, the effectiveness of these mobilization efforts remains to be seen as the political climate evolves toward the 2027 polls. Information regarding potential opposition strategies or specific timelines for individual campaign activities was not provided in the source report. ## Conclusion The inauguration of the 2027 campaign council by the Ebonyi APC underscores the party’s intent to leverage the incumbent administration’s policy record as its primary electoral vehicle. With the council now established and leadership roles assigned, the party aims to consolidate its influence through a structured approach to grassroots engagement and public outreach. < p class=”vbna-source-note”>**Source:** [Channels Television](https://www.channelstv.com/2026/11/07/ebonyi-apc-inaugurates-2027-campaign-council/) TL;DR (AI Generated) The Ebonyi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has inaugurated its 2027 State Campaign Council in Abakaliki to coordinate grassroots mobilization and party activities.
