Crown FC, widely known as the Ajilete Warriors, has officially unveiled 26 new players
ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria National League (NNL) season. According to a report
by _Daily Post Nigeria_, the club is banking on this significant recruitment drive
to bolster its competitive standing and strengthen its pursuit of promotion to the
top flight.

## A Comprehensive Squad Reinforcement

The club’s management has opted for a wide-ranging overhaul of the team’s composition.
The new arrivals are distributed across all areas of the pitch, ensuring that the
coaching staff has increased depth and tactical flexibility. The breakdown of the
26 new signings includes:

 * **Goalkeepers:** 2
 * **Defenders:** 9
 * **Midfielders:** 8
 * **Attackers:** 7

This balanced approach to recruitment suggests a focus on both defensive solidity
and offensive creativity, which the club hopes will translate into consistent results
throughout the upcoming campaign.

## Key Additions to the Roster

While the club has brought in a large cohort of talent, several names have been
highlighted as part of the new-look squad. The list of newly recruited players includes
Oni Oluwadamilare Adeleke, Abdulhameed Abdulazeez, Oyekanmi Quadri, Olofe Ibukunoluwa,
and Salaudeen Ismail. Further additions to the squad include Akinbiyi Sodeeq Olanrewaju,
Opebi Ibrahim, Adeleye Bolaji Ademola Adeyemi, Michael Friday, and Williams Ogundare.

The club has not yet provided specific details regarding the contract lengths or
the individual backgrounds of these players, but their arrival marks a definitive
shift in the team’s strategy for the new season.

## Looking Ahead to the Opener

The timing of this announcement comes just days before the team faces its first
major test of the season. Crown FC is scheduled to travel to Owerri to face Heartland
at the Dan Anyiam Stadium this coming Sunday. This opening match will serve as the
first opportunity to see how the new signings integrate into the team’s tactical
system under competitive conditions.

As the NNL season approaches, the pressure will be on these 26 players to adapt
quickly to the rigors of the league. Whether this influx of new talent will be enough
to secure the promotion the club desires remains to be seen, but the scale of the
recruitment indicates that the Ajilete Warriors are committed to making a significant
impact in the 2026/27 season.
