Ecuadorian conjoined twin influencers José Luis and José Armando Cevallos have died at the age of 27 following a medical emergency, according to their friend and a statement on their social media account.

Their close friend, Fernando Carrillo, told local outlet Y Ahora Sonsoles that José Luis suffered a cardiac arrest and was taken to hospital alongside his brother. Carrillo said doctors stabilised José Luis, but José Armando suffered a heart attack minutes later, after which both twins passed on. Their social media account announced.

Their brother, Damián, expressed distress over the sudden loss, saying he could not imagine what their parents were going through.

The twins had attracted more than 60,000 followers on social media, where they shared their daily experiences and lives as   brothers. They had continued posting just days before they passed on.

A tribute shared on their Instagram page thanked those who had supported them. “We sincerely thank all the people who accompanied them, supported them, and helped them achieve their dreams. Their joy, their story, and the love they sowed will remain in our hearts forever,” the statement read.
