“APC supporters are hungry too” — Isaac Fayose claims he sent ₦1 million to Wike’s aide, Lere Olayinka, after he dropped his account number

Isaac Fayose has criticised supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC), claiming that even those defending President Bola Tinubu’s administration are struggling with the country’s economic situation.

In a video shared online, Fayose said he recently announced a ₦1 million giveaway and asked interested Nigerians to drop their account numbers.

According to him, over 10,000 people responded, including Lere Olayinka, the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.

Fayose claimed he decided to send the ₦1 million to Olayinka to prove that even those supporting the government are affected by the economic hardship.

He questioned why APC supporters would participate in giveaways if the economy was as good as they claimed.

Fayose also reminded Nigerians that government supporters and critics buy fuel from the same market, use the same hospitals and face similar economic challenges.
