The event, held in Nsukka, served as a platform for party leadership to outline their electoral objectives and solidify support for key political figures. ## Strategic Objectives for 2027 According to reports from _Premium Times Nigeria_, the APC has explicitly stated its intention to ensure the electoral success of several high-profile officials in the upcoming cycle. The party’s leadership expressed a commitment to delivering votes for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Peter Mbah, among others. This move underscores the party’s desire to consolidate its influence within the state and maintain alignment with the current federal administration. ## Focus on Governance and Performance A significant portion of the discourse during the Nsukka event centered on the performance of the current state administration. Governor Peter Mbah, who is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was a focal point of the discussion, with the APC highlighting his ongoing governance initiatives. The party’s endorsement of the governor’s agenda suggests a collaborative approach to state development, despite the traditional lines of party competition. The administration’s reported achievements, as noted by the source, include: * **Security:** Targeted investments aimed at stabilizing the state’s internal security landscape. * **Infrastructure:** Ongoing projects designed to improve connectivity and public utility access. * **Education and Healthcare:** Efforts to revitalize public service delivery in these critical sectors. * **Economic Development:** Initiatives focused on the revival of moribund state assets to stimulate local economic growth. ## Political Context and Implications The decision by the APC to flag off its campaign in Nsukka—a region of strategic political importance in Enugu—signals an aggressive push to increase its footprint in the South-East. By aligning with the incumbent governor’s development agenda, the party appears to be positioning itself as a partner in the state’s progress rather than a traditional opposition force. It is important to note that while the party has declared its intent to support these leaders, the specific mechanisms for this support and the internal party dynamics regarding these endorsements remain evolving. The source did not provide details on potential internal party opposition or the specific electoral strategies beyond the stated commitment to these candidates. ## Conclusion The APC’s campaign launch in Nsukka marks a notable early entry into the 2027 political narrative in Enugu State. By emphasizing support for both federal and state leadership, the party is signaling a pragmatic approach to the upcoming election cycle. As the 2027 date approaches, the effectiveness of this strategy in mobilizing the electorate and maintaining the current political alliances will likely be tested by shifting local and national priorities. < p class=”vbna-source-note”>**Source:** [Premium Times Nigeria](https://www.premiumtimesng.com/promoted/922807-2027-apc-flags-off-enugu-campaign-in-nsukka-vows-to-deliver-mbah-tinubu-others.html) TL;DR (AI Generated) The All Progressives Congress has officially launched its campaign operations in Enugu State to prepare for the 2027 general elections.
