for their opening fixture. The team is scheduled to face Sokoto United this Saturday
at the Rashidi Yekini Main Bowl, located within the George Innih Stadium.

## A Focus on Comprehensive Preparation

Heading into the Conference D matchup, the club’s leadership and coaching staff
have expressed confidence in the squad’s current form. Head coach Festus Allen emphasized
that the team has undergone rigorous training to ensure they are prepared across
multiple facets of the game.

> Physically, emotionally and psychologically, we are ready. By the special grace
> of God, we are going for victory and will not disappoint our supporters.

According to the Daily Post Nigeria, Allen’s assessment reflects a high level of
optimism within the camp as they look to secure a positive result in their first
outing of the season.

## Leadership and Team Morale

The sentiment of readiness is shared by the playing squad, with team captain Mohammed
Bala echoing the coach’s confidence. Bala noted that the players are focused on
delivering a strong performance for both the club’s management and its dedicated
fanbase.

“Everybody is ready, and by the grace of God, we are coming out victorious tomorrow,”
Bala stated. “We are ready to give our supporters and management something to celebrate.”

## Context of the NNL Season

The NNL serves as a critical tier in the Nigerian football structure, often acting
as a gateway for clubs aiming to reach the top flight. For ABS FC, a strong start
in Conference D is viewed as a vital step toward achieving their objectives for
the season. While the club has publicly voiced its intent to secure a victory, the
actual outcome will be determined on the pitch this Saturday.

As of the time of reporting, specific details regarding the club’s full roster changes
or long-term tactical adjustments for the season were not provided. The focus remains
squarely on the immediate challenge posed by Sokoto United.

## Conclusion

With both the coaching staff and the team captain publicly declaring their readiness,
ABS FC enters the new NNL season with clear intentions. The upcoming match against
Sokoto United at the Rashidi Yekini Main Bowl will serve as the first test of whether
this preparation translates into the desired on-field success for the Ilorin side.
